Or how the Patriots have a lot to test
I'm going to start these weeks trying to analyze the template line and group by group.
The group of the team that has made the most rivers of ink in this offseason and that more mock drafts gave first round picks is the offensive line. The departure of Nate Solder to New York Giants has caused doubts in the weakest part of the line. The jewel in the crown that has to protect the weak side of a QB who is over 40 years old is not assigned right now. And even far, free agency has not solved it either.
Let's see what the team publishes in its "depth chart" in the official webpage. It is not official, of course, but as I said it is published on its website

This Depth chart still does not include Isaiah Wynn, who has not yet been signed his rookie contract.
Let's start with the later and the most important of all, since it is the first of the New England picks this year. All analysts rate them by their size as a guard. However, everything seems to indicate that he would be tested as left tackle, position in which he played his last years in Georgia.
However, I do want to remove the focus from the left tackle position. Analysts fit Wynn in the inner part of the line and rumor that seemed real about Frank Ragnow first choice and taken by Detroit only just a pick before, makes me think the problem of Scarneccia may really be the center and the left guard. Frank Ragnow is categorized as center.
Putting all this together, the internal part of the line seems to offer certain doubts. Even considering Shaq Mason and Marcus Cannon as safe, the rest I think is still to be seen.
We will see a competition for the ownership in the position of Left Tackle by Wynn, Waddle, Trent Brown, Matt Tobin and not please do not forget Cole Croston. Do not even forget a possible Cannon change to the left side. Remember that Cannon already played on the left with DeGuglielmo in 2015.
But this competition on the left side I think is just the lure of what they really want to change and improve. The NFL is betting more and more on the inner rush. The biggest note about this is Suh's hiring by the Rams with Aaron Donald close to him. The new waves of fast game and running game have made inner rush recovering part of its hegemony yielded in the last years by the edge.
And this is why Scarneccia will probably show us some things inside. Thuney seems the mos surpassed for me, and the weak point of the line last year too. Joe Thuney, who started in his early years really well, however last year he suffered a lot.
In the same way that the position of Left tackle can influence what we see in the left guard, it can also change to the center. Even though Andrews seems consolidated in the position I think he can also give us surprises and see changes in this position.
In such a way that summarizing all the above we can perfectly see Thuney in the center, Wynn left guard and Waddle or Brown in the Left Tackle. And this would be a radical change of the whole left side and the center.
Scarneccia has already recognized the media that he has a great team and that he feels excited about the work ahead. And it is this very thing that makes me think that it has changes in mind.
So here's my bet:
LT - Trent Brown
LG - Isaiah Wynn
C - David Andrews
RG - Shaq Mason
RT - Marcus Cannon
